more chairs

This is my dads chair from when I was growing up.  It's kind of a captains chair, with the arm rests.
here is a back detail.........
This was moms chair which matches dads, but without the armrests.
and the back detail............. complete with dust.
Luckily I got to keep these and now they are part of my chair collection.

Those are lovely. Pooldad has the armrest chair in our home [given up when Grandpa comes to visit :)] and we have a chair collection too - but it is a bit inadvertent - seems everytime I turn around we are aquiring more chairs - well at least there are plenty of places to sit.
The most prized chair in our home tho' is a chair my father used for his office - it is handed down from child to child...and now it is at our last. :) It is a woven, highbacked number - I think it is insanely uncomfortable - but the kids covet the heck out of it so they can have it. :)

Thus ends the history of chairs in our home. :) SkippyMom

I know you are talking about the furniture but my eyes were instantly drawn to the lovely quilt on the bed!
