I saw these recently by us... I look for them every year since we lived at the old place and was so happy to see them in the woods nearby here as well! I also noticed the trilliums getting ready to open!

We have had the tulips and such all bloom really early here. And we all got out and planted are annuals, so there is a lot of color there since it has been so warm.

But the wild flowers were smart and avoided to flash frosts back in early April and tonight while walking the dog [after two days of rain we needed] I saw how the color has EXPLODED all over our neighborhood! I could've stayed out longer if it hadn't become dark. And the smells? It was as if we were on Mother Nature's perfume aisle. Intoxicating.

I love your cowslips [that's what we call them here too] Marigolds are an entirely different flower to us here. That's a neat vase too. Very Deco looking. LOVE. And your husband is a sweetie. The kids bring me bouquets, but I have to remind them not to pick the bulbed flowers that the HOA plants [it's like living in Holland around here in the Spring, they do a nice job!] because the HOA tends to frown on that. :)

Enjoy!
