Remember Gloves?

Remember gloves? Back in the day when ladies didn't wear white before Memorial Day or after Labor Day, gloves were such an essential part of being "dressed".

As a child I wore gloves to church, but I can't remember if I was as entranced with them back then.  I had to wear a little lace doily thing on my head too, and I can tell you that did NOT entrance me, especially the bobby pin stuck straight into my scalp to secure the darn thing!

But I can tell you now, that cotton gloves with little feminine touches entrance me totally....
I have been dallying with them at vintage clothing shops, and antique malls for months.

And, as you can see, I've been buying a few here and there too............
What entrances you?

Well I was going to say I love the question and I'll have to think on it. It's a great post! You know, there are so many thing that can pull my attention like this and carry me away. Right now as I turn my head to the left there is this magical green piece of glass surrounded my copper and that entrances me. (tell me you know what I'm talking about or I'm going to stick a pin in your scalp!)

I agree, I am entranced by so many things! Gee, Mary, you better be careful or you're going to have collections that will rival your mom's! lol
For me, I'd have to say little girl's clothing. I can look at it over and over and I'm always oohing and aaahing over the cute stuff they have, and even that they had!

My parents have a picture of me when I was about 4 all dressed up at Easter with pretty little hat, frilly dress, little white gloves---and a black eye LOL! (for clarification, I was clumsy, not abused!)

These are lovely. I'm entranced by dishes. Saucers are my favorite.

Ideas!! I collect ideas for projects and constantly re-prioritize my list, finishing some, adding some, erasing some...
