Busy as proverbial bees

Sorry for the size of this picture. I had to "borrow" it from the shelter website because any time I'm with her I have one hand on a leash and the other petting her below the right ear. Anyway..............Here is Kona! The dog fairy came through!! and what a great job she did. Kona is a 3 year old black lab mixed with some other things........ She is energetic, friendly, energetic, housebroken (99.99% of the time as she proved to me tonight) energetic, smart, energetic, partially trained, and did I mention she is energetic? We were pretty used to an older very calm easy going boy. Kona is keeping things lively for us! She just may be the best diet aid ever!
Meanwhile I am trying to work on a few things, in between dog walks and what I call "Lab work" (pee breaks) ahem, sorry, I digress easily! Here are some of my grocery bags. I've made about 14 of these babies so far and they are soooooooooo handy! The one on the far left has a basket in the bottom for my traveling projects, currently Yo Yo's. I'm planning to make some for my older daughters for their own shopping and hauling about. They roll up nicely and fit in the front of the car/van/truck for quick grocery runs. I get nice comments when the bag person at the grocery store is a woman too!
And here is the progress with my needle felting. I'm working on a flower pin. I'm going to attempt to work up to a hibiscus. Did you read that Flori?? Anyway, I'm tyring to get a few things made as shop samples for one of the local quilt shops that has a HUGE inventory of wool fabric. The owner talked to me about possibly teaching a class this fall. Me! Can you imagine that????

Congratultions on the new puppy love at your house*VBS* I know she's not exactly a puppy, but it sounds like she's got some 'get up and go and go and go'...LOL
The bags looks wonderful, glad you are getting some sewing done. Take care and enjoy the romp with Kona. Hugs, Finn

I think you are going to love Kona.

Stanley is a labrador with a bit of collie and he was so energetic aswell when we got him. He's calmed down now that he's settled into a routine and will sleep in between walks ( or in his case swims as he always seems to find water).

love and hugs xxx

A new dog is a LOT of work initially, but everything you put in now will repay ten-fold!! Look forward to seeing a bigger picture sometime :)

CONGRATULATIONS to both you and Kona!!! You better get some good running shoes, or a tennis ball launching machine. ;) Did you know they make sling shots for that too?? LOL
Sign me up for the class!!! I bet it'll be a huge hit!

Why, yes, I CAN imagine you teaching a class, Whiskey Girl! I am so pleased for you. The grocery bags are the best - I can attest to that since I am a proud owner of the best one ever. And yes, I saw that mention of the hibiscus! I am positively giddy over that one....cause I know who may be getting that one....wink wink wink

Kona looks wonderful. Sounds like you have lots of exerciseing to do to beat some of that energy, is she good to come when called? I used to find a tennis racket and ball provided endless miles of fun.

Want to say thank you for the wonderful tea cozz, the darling tea bag plate holder, it is so cute. I love it and the teas. YUMMY! as a matter of fact, having some this morning. Love the flavor.

Congratulations with your new dog. She looks lovely, I hope you will be very happy with her. Nice to read that she is so friendly to you already.
Yesterday we picked up our new cat, also three years old. We called her Sifra because she is such a beauty and she is hiding behind the sofa right now, don't expect her to come out during the day before the weekend at first. Cats and dogs are really different animals.
