Here's a little Halloween runner I made from some leftovers from Miss V's first Halloween quilt.
Now that she is doing a second one, I have another pile of cute little scraps to play with.
And the cat.
Mr. Big Bones. He seems to need to get up at 3:00 am to go downstairs to have a snack to keep up his strength.
This wouldn't be much of a deal, except now that cold weather is here and the heat is on, we keep the stair door closed. No matter, he just tromps downstairs and bangs on it, which causes loud rattling to echo all over the house. This is what happens when you have a 17 lb cat and old doors.

It's nice that Mr Big Bones has you so well trained.

He's not fat...he's fluffy.
We put a cat door in so that when we closed off the basement door they could still get through to the cat boxes in the basement. If you don't want to put a hole in that door - find a replacement door you don't mind putting a hole in and put that up and storing your good 'old' door.
Our 'big' cat had a hard time jumping over a gate we used to contain the dogs - he was only 13 pounds - his problem was that he thought he was a dog. Always knocked his knees when he went over the gate - bang, rattle, thud... LOL The other cat... you never even heard it land on the other side... very light on it's feet!
I do have a dog that knocks to go out or come in...
How, on earth, does one get a 17 lb. cat? My moms cats get that big, too. Amazing. Love the table runner, too...
Mr. Big Bones has you well trained. We had a black cat (he disappeared 2 weeks ago) that was housebroke - he would wake me up at 5 a.m. to let him out - he refused to use the litterbox.
