Here it is! My March abstract challenge!

I was so inspired by my idea for spring under the snow that I skipped the housework on Sunday and made this instead!

Here is the top of my spring quiltet for the abstract challenge. I was going to use some layers of netting, but my flowers were a bit bright and showed through too much then I remembered this piece of eyelet just sitting in my stash waiting to be used....

And here is the spring under my snow! Oh, how I hope it's going to be there when all the snow and ice melt! Last night we had thunderstorms, then we got rain, which turned to sleet, which turned to snow just in time to drive to work. Now most everyone's yard is full of ice. I think we would do better with a Zamboni on our driveway than the tractor to plow it!

I love your idea,,, there how are you getting on with it? I love the Idea with pictures under the flowered cut out bits, that makes it look pretty.
I love the picture of the snow that shadow from the tree it looks cold there. Time for the hot water bottle.

Hello green mare, I was so delighted to see a WI face in the crowd! We are definitely NOT well represented in blogland.
Thanks so much for stopping by lately and leaving such nice comments. It's fun to get new people.
I see you had the Sunday afternoon mess, weatherwise. I think we lucked out a bit more where I am...west of Eau Claire, we just got the misty rain, a slightly harder rain, and then about 5 the wind sprang up and really rattled everything in sight...horrible windy night and into Tuesday. But no snow or sleet at all.
I love your spring will come quilt idea, very clever to use the eyelet over the floral...genius!!!
Your sewing machine cover is also inspired...what a great idea to use an old sweater rather than sew up a totally new cover. Mind if I borrow it??? *VBS*
Do stop by again, or drop me an email. I'll be adding your blog to my side bar..hopefully today! Big hugs, Finn in West Central WI

A nice Spring "abstract" - I like the representation of snow covering flowers - very creative!

We're getting the rain tonight that you already had. Ugh!

A Zamboni......hmmmm.....I was wearing a t-shirt today (and I'm always cold). :) Maybe it was your Spring flowers. ;)

Winter needs to be over NOW!!! I'm so ready for some spring time I'm about to go nuts! Your lovely quilt is a good reminder that yes, under all that white stuff, there is springtime waiting! Love the wine quilt and the other goodies you've been showing as well :0).
