Back in Sorts!

I'll tell ya, nothing gets you right back in sorts like a birthday!
And this one was pretty darn good too!!!
The big guy was working nights, so he slept through much of it. But the girls took charge and took care of the rest of it.
I had lovely coffee on the porch. - until we all got too cold and went in the house, this is, after all, Wisconsin. yeah, 68 gets a bit chilly when it's windy.

But! Once in the house, I had my awesome package from my best blog buddy Flori!! Otherwise known as Susan, the officer in charge of coffee in One Of The Worlds Smallest Quilt Guilds........... see my sidebar. Go ahead, I'll wait for you...... toe tapping quietly................ subtle look at watch..............
Isn't she awesome!
She sent a big box of all kinds of treats, most of them were wrapped in fabric too! My favorite gift wrap! I took pictures of every step of it, and if I can ever EVER get them off my camera I will post a retrospective of the gift opening. fabrics, a super cute cake slice pincushion, an awesome totebag, a quilt magazine. I was just in HEAVEN!!!
Then daughters number 3 and 4 took me to the antique mall and we spent several enjoyable hours there. Meanwhile daughter number 2 made dinner. We did pick up a luscious chocolate cake from a local grocery store bakery. A nice small one so there weren't any leftovers!!
Then the big guy had me sit down on the porch and he gave me a Yak Rack for the new kayak he got me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ACKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK does it get any better????? And my orthopaedic surgeon says I can go for it!!! yippeeee

Absolutely Fantastic!!! What great treats - fabrics - a slice-o-cake pincushion (can't wait to see that) and a cool tote bag, too? You lucky gal you. :) And the Daughters really were wonderful. Wishing I had some of that chocolate cake from the local bakery this morning with my coffee.

Right on - Kayaking here we come!!!

Happy birthday! Your girls sure know the way to a mom's heart. I'm so pleased you are healing and able to use your new gift. What a great present.

Happy Birthday! Sounds like it was lots of fun!
I hope you'll show us photos of what a Yak Rack is and of course we have to see you in the kayak!
