Dog days of August

Well, it finally happened.
After having one of the coolest summers I can remember, the temperatures have caught up with us.
All over Wisconsin people are having the following conversation:

First guy says: "Hot enough fer ya?"
Second guy says: "It's not the heat I mind so much, it's the humidity."

Recognize the summer weather small talk? Sound familiar to everyone in the midwest?

Our #3 son just having returned from two years in your fair state, talks the same way now. We do not talk about humidity in this part of California, but he always peppers his weather conversations with humidity.

Hot and wet! That is about it.
Ah, the hot days of summer.

I'm punchin' the next guy that says that to me... then I'm going back in the air conditioning.

It's not just in the midwest... We had a tiny breeze yesterday & for that I was thankful.

Well, sweet Mare.... living in Clearwater, just blocks from the Gulf, I find it hard to believe you have "real" humidity. After you come down here for a visit, then we will talk humidity. However, I think way too much of you to allow you to come down here in August so you may never know...
